Maternal

Maternal

Maybe I am too hard on him. But the
Absolute best isn't really too
Much to expect, is it? No use
Arguing it.

Many others have failed and
Occasionally I do too.
The difference
Here is that I know I am not
Everything he needs and deserves. I
Respect that I know that.

Makes a difference. The
Others out there deny their
Maternal flaws, think it
Marks them as failures.
Yet, I don't see it like that.

Mine, my flaws that is, are
Omnipresent. Only by
Minding them do I learn.

My mistakes and shortcomings
Allow me to grow to

Maybe become the
Absolute best. That's really not too
Much to expect, is it? No use
Arguing it.
