Tonight

Tonight

A Poem by Ellysias
"

This one I wrote for one of my friends who likes to think he's the divine master of everything and can control everyone from behind the scenes. Yeh. Enjoy (:

"

Are you holding her in your arms tonight?
Everything you did, you thought was right.
But if she knew would she be right by your side
Still the night, Still the night.

You'd stare out the window with tears in your eyes,
Wondering why she said goodbye.
Master oh Master has your plan gone so wrong
Tonight, why tonight?

Are you feeling the chains around your neck?
The coldest reality of regret?
Turning time back again and again
Shred the night, shred the night.

Will you once more try for me?
Never oh never will we be.
Your hold has broken, I've been set free
See the light, oh tonight.

Best to stop this before it's too late.
Constantly turning are wheels of fate.
It is time now boy open your eyes,
Save the night, save the night.

You say you have a tune...Is this meant to be a poem or a song? Either way it's really good. I love the last line on all your separate stanzas. It sorta has a mocking feel to it. Great piece =]
