Stars

Just one lonely night and then I looked at the sky.

shackles and metal weights

broke her wings in flight

with scales uneven 

and the juries blind

her feat deemed empty, in disregard

on a night

while she bleeds as the world revives

why, the moon, like the stars, 

glitters unbelievably bright.
