Beautiful Imperfection

Beautiful Imperfection

A Poem by Ginger With A Pen

Imagine perfection, what do you see?

I bet if you asked a million people this, they’d all describe something different

And if they shared their views with everyone else,

One would point out a flaw in the other’s.

Perfection is an impossibility, because it’s merely a perception

And flaws are what make the world truly beautiful.

That dimple on your lover’s cheek?

That’s a biological flaw,

And so is love, in the eyes of some.

But what would the world be without love?

Colourless, hollow.

Beauty is imperfection

And imperfection is beauty.

As humans, we are all flawed,

And we are all beautiful.
