Autumn Sounds

Autumn Sounds

A Poem by Kody Ryan Munson
"

A short and simple poem about feelings and nature's sounds during Autumn.

"
My foot presses against the dry leaf,
making it crunch and the wet, green grass
under it flatten with the moss between its toes.

More warm-brown and gold leaves fall
from the trees, and I listen to the bitter wind
sigh in relief from its burdens of the heat of summer.

Crows sound from above, Cawing for food and prey;
a squirrel scurries up a nearby Evergreen,
and I lay in the damp grass
as I immerse myself in nature's Sounds of Autumn.
