A Book That Is

The cover holding a precious image,  insight into what it could be about.
A new story to lose myself in, a new world to walk through.
A new place far from this common reality I am most often stuck in.
A character to know, perhaps relate to.
Tell of their journey and personal life.
I wish to live within these pages, be known to this unknown character.
I want to drown within the story untold.

Author's Note

An exercise we did in our creative writing class where we had to write about something we carry with us from day to day. I chose to write about a book and what was special about it.
