Your Dear Lips

Your Dear Lips

A Poem by I Am Svetlana

Making small talk
under our umbrellas,
our skin crawling
in the cold.

Kissing in the street.

What are we to make of this?

Your dear lips
are a sure way
to paradise.

I love the seeemingly simplistic yet underlying deep and touching use of words to depict such a relevant and universal element of love and togetherness. This is a short and sweet poem of appreciation of love, an ode to 'lips', which are love's most symbolic attributes;
for when two souls lock lips in consent and reciprocity, there's no greener light, there's no surer sign of love and acceptance.

'Your dear lips
are a sure way
to Paradise'.
Is there any better way to describe the bliss of kissing? Wonderful!

Can you please do me the honour of reviewing my work in constructive honesty?

WELL DONE

If it keeps you warm it should be compulsory.
Probably some sad law against it mind you.
But I like it.
