Ordinary Magic

Ordinary Magic

A Poem by EmaleighLynn
"

A poem I wrote in English. A fun poem.

"

Think of a giant,

Slow and heavy,

Stepping over your houses

As the sun rises.

Think of a magician,

Cursing in his yard,

When his spells don’t quite work.

Think of a centaur,

His beard long and his coat thick,

Necessary when summer

Turns to fall.

Think of phoenix,

Waking you with his light

When he begins his cycle again.

Then think of where you've been,

Of were you’re from.

Boring people,

With boring lives.

You can’t believe you

Once found them interesting

As you watch the gnome across the street dig his garden.
