Clocks

Clocks

A Poem by Lucy
"

Where does time go? Does the grim reaper revel in our lost moments? Or does time stay sealed In an old cardboard box, somewhere in Limbo?

"

Where does time go?

Once it is spent, does it cease to exist?

Or does it stay,

Floating on the wind, a daunting reminder of the past?

Where does time go?

Does the grim reaper revel in our lost moments?

Or does time stay sealed

In an old cardboard box, somewhere in Limbo?

Where does time go?

Do pieces of it stay with us until our death,

At which point it is passed on?

Or is time a mere concept, and essentially nothing?

Where does time go?

Is it broken once it is spent?

Lying shattered on the ground, forgotten?

Or is it preserved in a safe somewhere in heaven (or hell)?

Where does time go?

Does it pass on, into the void?

Or is time ever existent,

Flowing through our veins?

Where does time go?

Personally, I don't care.

Just so long as this moment, now,

Doesn't pass too quickly.

Very nice exploration of time, and experience when viewed through the lens of time. Where does time go? Great question and I love the conclusion.
"Personally, I don't care. Just so long as this moment, now, Doesn't pass too quickly."
Well written and well thought out. Now is everything after all!

I really don’t know a lot about poetry to comment on this, poetically speaking.
However, I really do like it a lot. Very interesting questions and answers posed here.

Um the last line could mean many things(nice job though!) also this strangely reminds me of too much time on my hands by styx random i know but still its an awesome song! (Though not quite as good as this poem *wink*)

Love this,
the constant questions, grab you and follow you through to the end.
It also makes you think that time goes by too quickly, and the answer to the questions don't matter after all.
You can waste your whole life questioning, and blink and its gone.
Nice job

I like philosophical poems and I find time to be one of the best topics, since consciousness is both cyclic and linear, it's only fitting that we ask these questions, often and at many instances in our lives!

I wonder too! I think we all have a different relationship to time, although like love and youth, a lot of themes in common! You made me think!

This is a soothing flow of thoughts on time. The ending closes the poem perfectly, though, time does always seem to pass too quickly . . . Great write and great read, so enjoyable. ~ BlackCl0ud

i love the concept of time and analysing it in this way really explores the idea of time that we have. This poem made me think about my own theories and made me question myself, and for that I think this is a very good poem :)

I love the last stanza as well, where you give your own response and give a nice little comment on time.

Really good and interesting. It takes a form that not many poems have.
