Happily Ever After

This is for him. The person I described as my prince.

Looking at the stars

I feel like I'm dreaming

The sky so peaceful

The darkness so serene

I closed my eyes for a moment

But I didn't want to waste a second

I wanted to stay awake

But I ended up a living dead

When I was a young girl

I always dreamed of fantasy

My own world of tales

My own little heaven

Until now, I still imagine

My own world of dreams

My own place of imagination

Creativity was my own

I dreamed of having a prince

And I, as the princess

Trapped in a high tower

Waiting to be rescued

When I saw my prince,

I was deeply in love

Knowing that when he saves me,

We will be happy forever

My prince tried to save me

The damsel in distress

But was blocked by the witch

I cry for help for my prince

"Don't worry!" He said

"I'll be there for you."

The words have touched me

I waited patiently for him

He fought the enemy and won

My face shined like the sun

I was so very happy

To know that my prince hadn't gone

"I see you." I said

"I see you." He said too

I thought I was imagining

But it was all too real

Then I realized it was a dream

A dream that should be forgotten

But I find that impossible

And somewhat illogical

"I love you forever" I said

"I love you too"

"I promise, forever,

I will be with you."
