Confessions of a Little Chick

Confessions of a Little Chick

A Poem by Yani De Los Reyes
"

I find this one to be cute. ^__^

"
Flowers that bloom in spring
Oh, summer wind that fills the sky
Birds that soar and take wing
Please take me with you, let me fly!

Even though a lot of people want to fly
They are always tricked by gravity
But the truth is, everyone can fly!

There's that little bike
That you forget to put away
Let's clean up it and ride it again
One more time!

Let your heart take you everywhere
Don't forget to smile too
Because happy thoughts make you fly
Frowns make you fall

When I say 'thank you' to you
and you smile, 'thank you'
Then I'll enjoy going place by place
That's when I'll really love you

Take me with you! Let me fly!
Little I am, but I have big dreams
I want them to be reached
By this bright yellow wings!

Don't worry, you're not alone
I, too, have curiosity in me
It's a bit strange
I'm still crying even though I'm happy

But it doesn't matter anymore
It's a really big world out there
And I want to explore it!
Nothing can stand in my way!

This is a nice poem. It kinda soothed my mood actually, I was feeling quite down lately and when I read this, I was absolutely inspired. :) This is a simple yet inspirational poem but it's sort of confusing in some stanzas but it didn't matter. The chick represents that size does not matter at all as long as you had the ability to do what's good and what's right. This is indeed a good job. I have nothing to critique. Job well done.
