The beautiful energy of ‘Grace’ is available to each and every one of us, regardless of whether you believe it or not! The mere existence of your being will acknowledge the signs all around you. Very interesting, poignant and self examining write … :-)
A poem many of us can relate to at times, Emily. We search for the words, and yet He knows we are seeking even when our hearts don't know the words to say at that moment.
Another example of a fine poem from Emily. And a great example of how to write about faith, the doubts, the images, the wish to believe. So should writing about God be written, not a you-have-to-believe-what-I believe, but a personal statement, written with skill, introspective and subdued. Excellent.
Beauriful imagery- love the symbolism of the butterfly as I find myself in this surrender among nature. And, the vision of hands wide open and waiting- such a universal gesture of surrender. Love this :)
This is asimply sad but lovely piece of poetry. The flow is good and the metaphor and imagery use is so well done. I am left wanting to help you find it! What I have learned is that what you believe in finds you. But you have to believe in yourself first. So many people are hollow shells who shirk their responsibility by becoming zealots of religeon or football or whatever consumes them.

I am no Wendy;
but my voice brings you back to me.
And you sit around my feet,
anxious for a story
or a kiss.
Listening to my words
spinning adventures,
