The fridge

The fridge

A Poem by Emma Hagreen
"

A whimsical poem about a fridge in our barn

"
The Fridge

The fridge sits lonely
The big barn barren
Of any other life
Thought if only if only

The Gatorade inside
Sits like a statue
Still as a stone
Just along for the ride

The sodas laugh and run
Escape from my hand
Lots of giggles
All having fun

The lights have a twinkle in their eye
They shine like a star
In the far galaxy
Just so high in the distant sky

The empty barn comes alive at night
The cats are about
The bats flew out
The darkness is broken by the fridges bright light

Haha this poem was a relief from the stressful day i've had. Such a simple idea turned into something so creatively profound. Store away the head of my day over the refreshingly cool shoulder of my fridge and it's beautiful gifts. Great stuff, welcome to the Cafe.

Well as much as I enjoyed this, I do tend to think of substance. Reasoning for some, but to me I ask what was the muse?

Thank you
but more than that...often when we open ourselves up..many things can fly out...like emotions, thoughts...all like the bats and sneaky like the cats...all bottled up just waiting for that door to be ajar.

nice write
