Lies Through Me

Lies Through Me

A Poem by ℰmerald ⚓
"

Getting the truth through the lies...

"
I tried to stop it,
What was headed your way.
It was far too strong,
To convince the believing.
I was told lies,
Like they were the truth.
I'm sorry...
I suspected it was you.

I tried to help you realize.
Tell you what you meant to me.
But I couldn't.
You pushed me away.
I should've known,
You are much more clever,
Than in which I was.
You saw right through me,
As if i was a sheet.
Not a human being.
Walked all over me.
You should know now,
How much you hurt me.

Pain builds up over time.
You'd never have guessed,
Those bloody scabs on my wrist.
Yes dear,
Those are from you.
You hadn't realized this,
How much I went through.
Just to tell you something.
Something you could care less about,

The truth.
The truth that lays in the open,
In the palm of my hands.
It rests,
Waiting for the survivor.
Who had survived a life of lies,
Who the lies lay within.

About
I don't post as much as I used to, I'll trash most of the songs I write because I always compare them to my favorite bands' music and it just never seems good enough. I don't think my poems and stori.. more..
