An account of tears

An account of tears

A Poem by EmpressPoetess
"

Do we really take responsibility for the pain we cause others? How would you do it?

"

Your smile is gone

it used to brighten my day

and your musical voice

is no longer light and gay

you cired sad tears

your world fell apart

I know loving me is not easy

I feel your despair in my heart

I know I have caused you pain

and for your unhappiness

I will take the blame

I'll except the full amount

so charge your tears

to my account.

When you said : " And your musical voice no longer light and gay". I picture a person that would sing to you every morning or hum there favorite songs in the shower , it would bring a smile to your face. This is why I find this poem so sad because all of that is taken away. The writer takes complete blame for causing the person pain and it makes your heart ache for her. I think this was a wonderful write.
