Wintering away

Wintering away

A Poem by EmpressPoetess

Time keeps passing like the winter

Leaving traces of its icy fingers

To dwell within broken hearts

And on the face of fractured souls

Left longing for yesterdays

And the never ending promise

Winter’s solstice snaps its fingers

A freezing reflex of arctic power

What shall we wait for now?

But sunshine’s melting grace

To warm away the winter chill

In golden dressing she is arrayed

Love can very much be like the seasons and your little poem offers a great analogy of love using seasons.
