Dream substance

Dream substance

A Poem by EmpressPoetess
"

For Albert's poetry cafe contest-- French sonnet

"

In the midst of all this madness

I live within the brightest realm

While your love was at the helm

My heart swelled with such gladness

We shared so much fun and laughter

Joy flowed through us without a care

In my dreaminess I once was there

In soft and tender moments after

Locked in my metaphoric towers

I dreamt you came to save the day

The mists of gladness fades to grey

With the stark white waking hours

But dreams are visions delved from sleep

Their substance flees with morning’s light

Sweet dreams that save me in the night

But what’s inside my heart I’ll keep.

Don't know much about french sonnets but I know I love this poem... great rhyming and smooth flow not to mention the passion behind the words.

I don't care if it didn't met the requirements, although I am certain it did! I'm too lazy to count up the stanzas! LOL. Wonderful fench-sonnet Denise....well done!
