Solomon's wise decree

Solomon's wise decree

A Poem by EmpressPoetess

As

my eyes

clear, I now

see the sun through

the distant gray clouds

and what lies beyond this

madness that drives us all mad.

To have that which we cannot have

because we believe we must have it

But truly, will you suffer without this?

Material things just clutter up the brain,

it fills your life with stress, your purse with dust.

The saying is true: it’s all just striving after wind!

We are what we are! We are not what we possess or own!

Solomon certainly learnt that all is vanity without the fear of God... Nicely created piece...
