December dawn

December dawn

A Poem by EmpressPoetess

Windswept terrains of dried fallen leaves

Frozen shadows of footsteps long past

Breath, chilled, a wispy trail of mist

The ground below douses the hearts glee

But what beauty the eyes see above

That of a vast turquoise canvas!

Gently brushed by a superior hand

That knows the joy that color brings

Those bold and pastel paintings

Stroked across a silent December sky

Those corals touched by gold and blue

And fiery pillows caressed by silver

Few things today can bring such awe

Or bring a gasp of pure pleasure

Than the sight of a December dawn

I just walked and watched the December dawn here.. Your words bring it alive in color and deepest joy... It is a beautiful things that awakens not only the day, but the soul as well.

I loved the way you turned our gaze from the earth heavenwards - then opening up the glory of the heavens, with a hint of ecstasy in the fiery pillows and the gasp of pure pleasure, from the brushing of the divine hand... A beautiful canvas of words - and a beautiful photo
