Perfidious Heart

Experimenting!

The song keep playing, repeating

the pain keeps moving, spreading

the echoes, they go right thru me

hollowed out and emptied spaces

dark corners and shadows dancing

toss the broken record to the floor!

 

Trembling hands keep reaching

chasing the tears that are running

feeding the flames, yet they’re dying

cap it off, and yet it's building

hiding the volcano's driving me mad!

 

Shut it down, yet it keeps on flowing

pain, some call it, its red hot raging

taking away my reason for smiling

deep down  this pain is boiling, it’s rising

no more smiling, sighing,  glowing

sun in the sky, yet it's not shining!

 

Closing doors, stop, leave them open

no one told me the end was coming

what madness this is, you leaving

this dreadful scheme I had no hand in

left here lost, your love bemoaning~.

Ok so I have been a way for a while, and for this to be the first piece of work that i've experienced, its refreshing yet sad at the same time.
I just feel where this piece came from...the longing to get over feelings by any means and then to still have them arise whenever is a hard thing to deal with. the only remedy is time. Great Piece.

You handle the deep emotion very skilfully, using the image of the volcano and blending it with the image of an uncontrollable oil well that needs to be capped off... Good use of half-rhyme... and altogether well-structured... a fine write!
