Remission elation

Remission elation

A Poem by EmpressPoetess
"

My cancer is in remission!!! Yeah!!

"

Butterflies fly me away with you

On your wings of monarch beauty

Above the golden realm of sunshine

(where darkness can never find me)

Into the blueness of cloudless skies

(where the raining pain never falls)

Let me dance in fields of flower blossoms
(where nothing painful could ever live)

I'll sing with the voices of mountains

High and strong and loud like thunder-

with praises of joy on elated breath

I'll share a choir with robins and ravens

we'll fill the land with glee as we sing

no wailing of grief will be heard here

Let me smell the roses, sweet and soft
no bad news will ever reside here

And taste the summer produce of fruit

Allow my fingers to become sticky

With the juice of ripe, plump berries

Help me celebrate spring in all its beauty!

Help me celebrate life in all its glory!

Whatever you do, don’t miss your chance

stop and smell the roses, for life is good!

When you have a brush with death it can change your views on life... too bad we all can't see the world like this everyday... very uplifting and inspiring write.

A beautiful celebration... I am so happy that you have this reprieve... I loved the rich images of Nature's ripeness - the thought of the 'ripe, plump berry'!
