My Slouching Groom.

My Slouching Groom.

A Poem by Enigma Monster

I will say here, what you're not supposed to

I will be blunt my friends

Find a safe spot to read

Because there are monsters wanting to feed

Would you stay here, in this room

If inside a beast roamed

Oh to marry that thing

My slouching impatient groom

Sick happiness is mine

Who has ever thought to care

What beast would pique my interest

What monster calls to mine

Slip the ropes around

Slit the skin like you mean it

Don't play, don't toy

Cherish me, bring it

If you dare to shy away

If you dare to be afraid

Life would be ruined, over

You will forfeit this wedding day.

Frightening to be stuck in a room with this sort of beast. Not I! However, I liked your verses and the story they tell! Well done. Congratulations on winning a prize in the Bump In the Night contest!
