Oldest Art.

Oldest Art.

A Poem by Enigma Monster

broken hearts, broken hearts
oldest story, oldest art
going along, trying to tell it apart
where'd it start, when's it end
who's gonna fall into it again
break it first
it's not a race, it's not a game
but fun to play, fun to lay
completely open
for just one day
whatcha see, whatcha see
just the world
and you and me
shiny leaves on big green trees
pine needles like real needles like sharp things that cut
enough is enough
but it's never enough

Taking the reader on a journey here E.M.
From meeting, to falling in love, to the halcyon 'honeymoon' days to the isolation that was once 'me and you versus the world' and finally to the uncomfortable end (enough is enough) ...and back to the start...

I love 'whatcha see, whatcha see' - there's the playful baby talk that lovers do right there in that line.

Cool write E.M.
