Attraction

Attraction

A Poem by Andrea Di Martino

In our lizard minds,
We can smell
Each other’s sicknesses.
Like magnets' pull,
The more difference
The more I want you.
This is the basis of desire:
The yearning to steal
Strengths you have
That I lack.

Ooo...some quick things.

would the poem loose anything if you used sickness, instead of sicknesses?

Very good poem overall. I might consider rephrasing the last three lines, but that's totally up to you. Best of luck, and great write :)

Very, very good.

(And I hate the repetition of words used as an emphatic tool.)

This has heft to it. A slice of reality laid bare before us.

Great job.
