Poem for Once Upon a Time Contest

~Darkness~

Darkness
A symptom of my revelation
Only too soon were the effects of this malady
Only too late did I see its intent
Hope did not stay at the bottom of my jar
I'm afraid shadows are all that's left me
I fear they will overtake me
Where this journey will end I don't know
And where it will leave me....
A mystery
I walk blindly towards my destination
Fear, Anguish, and Regret lead the way
I feel I am bound to them
But at just a spark, I could break away
