Forsaken

Forsaken

A Poem by KayOss
"

We are not always as alone as we feel.

"

Forsaken, lonely and alone,

You are never alone, for I am here with you.

Unnoticed and forgotten,

You are mine; I could never forget you.

I start to fall.

Go ahead and fall; I will catch you.

No one to lift me up.

My arms are strong; I’ll carry you.

Forsaken, lonely and alone,

You are never alone, for I am here with you.

I wish I had a friend.

You are mine; I’m your very best friend.

Someone to share my troubles,

Give me your troubles; I’ll take them all.

Someone to share my burdens,

Give me your burdens; I’ll carry them all.

Someone to miss me when I’m gone.

If you go, I will miss you terribly.

Forsaken, lonely and alone,

You are never alone, for I am here with you.

Screaming, crying out for help.

I hear your cries; my heart cries for you.

God, will someone hear my plea?

I hear you; I offer comfort and peace.

Will someone help me?

I am here to help you; I will take care of you.

Or will I die…

You will not die; for I am your essence. I live on.

Forsaken, lonely and alone.

Never alone, for I am here with you.

Unique. You turned a typically cliched genre of poetry and made it unique, adding a second voice. Genius, I must say.
