Leaving my dear

A flame is burning inside me;

And it gets bigger when I see;

The perfection walking in front of me, gracefully;

And from thee, my sight becomes foggy.

It's getting hard to see the picture clear;

And it's all because of my dear;

My eyes are slowly losing their sight;

I cannot get rid of him, he is present in my mind.

Go away, disappear, just go;

I will be leaving soon I perfectly know;

I am afraid to get close and it goes on my nerve;

That is the reason why from distance I just observe.

I make a step forward and then go back;

No, I cannot survive one more wreck;

I do not have the courage, love is all I have;

It's so strong that it screams, but I pretend I'm deaf.

Maybe I will see him again, who knows?

All I know is that I can feel inside my bones;

That I will remember him until the day I die;

Oh, I will always be in love with that guy.

This is so great too! It seems like you were afraid to get closer, but do I discern that you did not even actually have a close relationship with him? Was the poem meant to say that you were letting go too afraid to get closer? Or was it even just in passing?

@A.L.Z. - We were just friends at the time I was in America and I knew that at some point I'll go back in my country so I didn't want to get closer, I was burnt once already.
