I Once Fell From Grace...

I have absolutely no idea how I thought of this. I just started writing and this came out of what is known as my brain.

Once upon a time

I fell from grace

 

The world crashed and burned

Everything a blur of embers and smashed brick

 

Humans flew past like silent rays of light

Turning everything in their path into ashes

While all we did was survive

 

The monsters knocked on our door

 

Their cold hands choked the life out of my sister

Their cold hands pulled the trigger into my brother

Their cold hands punched the knife through my mother

Their cold hands pulled the heart from my father

 

I still remember the warm kisses my mother gave me on the muzzle

Telling me that everything would be okay
That this was all just a bad dream

And I would wake up any moment to our old home

 

I never woke up

I kept on dreaming a nightmare

 

I left behind what was left of my home

Tear filled eyes not handling the bravery of looking back

The fire erupting from explosions on what was once my homeland

 

I entered a forest full of shadowy tendrils

They crept behind me as I walked in silence

The memories burning holes in my brain

 

All the death

All the screaming

All the crying

 

A lone human with wounds scattered across his body laid on the grass

His eyes almost lost of life

He looked at me, the wolf with nothing left,

“Please, help me.”
