Veil Of Lies

Veil Of Lies

A Poem by EternityWolf101
"

Just some mumbling of mine at 4 in the f***** morning. Man, I am soooo tired right now........

"

Secrets lay dormant behind closed doors

Made entirely of concrete and steel

Protecting the innocence of humanity

From dying of nucleur attacks

Darkness provides the best comfort

For those seeking refuge from truth

They desire the veil of lies

To live a comfortable life

Men and woman

Boys and girls

All die a tragic death

Under the veil we can not see

Because of the lies that create bloodshot eyes

And we do nothing to save them

Wars are fought

Battles are lost

Opposite sides never choose what is right

The victims all lay dead in ditches

New beginnings are formed

Life is saved

The drunk men return sober

A new leaf is turned

Blood is shed
Skin is torn

From the innocent children of an innocent world

The veil of lies is what makes us human

Yet it is also why we are inhumane

Good, deep, thoughtful. Write when you're tired more often! :)

I like protest poems, keep your voice loud, and write a lot more good poems like this.

The poem speak of the truth. No-one wins in war. The poor cities and people pay the price for the Berserkers who are in-charge. Thank you for the outstanding poem.

Some of it is good, and some of it really seems out of place.
