Rumors

Rumors

A Poem by Robert delfuego or Ethan
"

Some powerful s**t

"
As the voices scratch
The back of his head
He is slowly reminded he should already be dead
Cold numbness
Relieved by pain
He realizes he can never truly be sane
As the blood flows
Through his veins
To his brain
Out his arm
Who ever knew words so few heard caused so much harm

But those words hurt
They Hurt

They gnawed
At his soul
Until it appeared a hole
So hollow
Until it was filled with pain
The only thing that followed
Leaving him insane
Trying to swallow
His sadness
While trying to escape from never ending madness
Trapped in the rumors so few heard
As his vision blurred
Forever going dark

"Who ever knew words so few heard caused so much harm "

I think this line stuck with me more than anything else.

Regardless powerful write. Though it does raise some concern...Hopefully times get better! [Or if they have, then that's good too!]

As for the mechanics as a writer, the structure of this poem is well put together. Especially the two lines that separate the 1st and 3rd stanza. I think those two lines are what add to ensuing pain that you describe afterwards.
