Jealous

Jealous

A Poem by Evelynn

You and I
We were never meant to be
I can see that now
So I have to set you free
You have her
And I finally understand
She might not be the one
But I know that I’ll never hold your hand
I have me
And that will always be enough
So you can have your girlfriends
And I will act all tough
But even though I say
That I don’t love you anymore
I’ll always be jealous
When another girl walks through that door

I completely understand that feeling. It's so difficult to truly get over someone you have feelings for. It's such a slow and painful process that so many people go through. And even though you didn't write a lot it's so simple and concise that it's hard to disagree with.

This is so powerful. At least to me, I understand the undertone of deep sadness and hurt of when someone you love walks away and is happier with someone else. I really like this.
