Man or Beast

Man or Beast

A Poem by E.V. Black
"

Where do they, man or beast, coalesce into one another?

"

What ideas are ours?

And which are theirs?

All our complexity

and our civilization,

yet we destroy

without a thought.

All their simplicity

and their savagery,

yet they live

in harmony.

Where do they,

man or beast,

coalesce into one another?

A chain with one

weak link.

Still, the chain remains

connected,

but hardly so.

A chain with one weak link - makes one wonder exactly what the flaw is and how one can trust it to hold when life keeps pulling it. Sadly beautiful EV, keep em' coming My friend
