Who I'm Suppose to Be

Who I'm Suppose to Be

A Poem by Expression
"

This is dedicated to every teen or young adult who is trying to figure themselves out. We've all been there, hang in there.

"

It wasn't supposed to be this way.

All wild and crazy.

The strange behavior,

Acting out and being all zany.

That's not who I'm supposed to be.

I'm a regular teen

A bit rebellious.

Maybe a bit of a follower

But I do mostly as I'm told, to respect.

Is that who I'm suppose to be?

I feel I can't make mistakes.

Like I should have been perfect from the start.

I feel like experience shouldn't have taught me.

Like I should have known from birth.

Was that how it was suppose to be?

Well, I'm me.

I'm tall, lean, yet more than georgeous.

A beautiful personality and mind.

Taught to do right by myself and others.

Can't that be who I'm suppose to be?

Yes, it can be me!

I cand be what I want to be and when.

I can mess up and fix myself up.

I'm me and that's all anyone can ask.

That's exactly who I'm suppose to be!
