Wisdom Calls

Wisdom Calls

A Poem by Anne Korhonen
"

A Christian poem

"
Mama said
"Baby girl use your head"
Papa said
"Look for beautiful soul instead"
Grandma said
"With negative thoughts unnecessary worries you plead"
Teacher said
"contemplate on what you read"
Preacher said
"the mortal you shouldn't dread"
Jesus said
"my body is your bread"
God said
"see where your destiny led"
I said
"there's breakthrough ahead"
Sister said
"hope is not dead"
Darling said
"there's love outside the bed"

When the curtain falls
wisdom calls
Jesus to turn over the stalls
in God's temple
for there won't robbers assemble
It has been sanctified for prayer
For hearing God in its every layer
Wisdom moves around with a covered face
on the streets and in the marketplace
It's in the storm
His threat God is to perform
It's in the struggle and effort
Eternal teaching and knowledge coming forth
The shallow ignore the advice
The one who brags and boasts isn't wise
Still shouting for help they're ignorant
Fear turns the man into an infant
Bitter is the fruit for the one who dishonors the code
Plots and disobedience as their load
Common sense lies in the conscience
Seeing through your inner lens
