Give me the Knife

Give me the Knife

A Poem by Eyudo
"

more of suicide, but yu never know how this one ends

"

footsteps, footsteps in the kitchen

who is that whose feet are kickin?

then I hear a drawer does open

she grabbed that knife as her token

I was there in a flash now

before she could even think how

she said she wants to play a game

but it will all end the same

I looked her in the eyes

and see the pain she hides

I don’t know what led to her strife

all I can say is, “give me the knife.”

she takes a step back

holds it up high

and says in reply

“No! I just want to die!”

beauty, intelligence, and deepness too

this isn’t something you want to do

you don’t want to se the reapers scythe

now, give me the knife

I like this poem and how everything seemed to ryme. I loved how you put dialogue into the poem. usually when people do that its confusing and takes away form the poem but your dialogue made the poem better where it helped me see how the character was feeling and you accomplished it quite well.
