The Last Mile

The Last Mile

A Poem by Ezel_Amaru

They say heavens a mile away
A journey that'll take more than a day
More than a calender year , more than a decade
I repeat but with much dismay
Everybody want to go to heaven but fear their own ill fate
A question outlived threw the ages,
but only answered when its to late
"What is the meaning of life? What is the purpose ?"
Perhaps a test upon ourselves to equivalate
I render myself humble , yet am I met with stones
thrown by shadows of gools and goons
Laughter consumes the air , faint whispers battle threw
to reach my core ,
As if to designated to explode upon contact with my soul
I've been met at a crossroad
Heavy hands seem useless when one carries the stress of a globe
Legs stagger for balance , no time to question you must move as a whole
Mind , Spirit , and Physical form
Fall not to temptation and stroll threw the valley of death as 1 man alone
The same you were born the same you shall go
Only lying in your path is the opportunity to grow...
