the hue of man

the hue of man

A Poem by John Destalo

I want

to shed

everything

expose my

dark parts

these years

of creating

my beautiful

thick scars

the sun

is one

giant

eye

watching

me

and now

the world

sees through

to me

exposing body

and soul

all the guilt and

the shame

of never

forgiving

I want to

shed everything

expose myself

to the world

through these

my words

my beautiful

and thick scars
