Traveled to places far and wide

Never did I travel to my inside

Read loads of books of all type

Never could read story of my life

Blamed all and sundry for my pains

Never questioned the selfish aims

Went holy places to seek His blessings

Never knew heart are His dwellings

Fought the Satan and his tribe

Never the selfish ego & false pride

Good write, my freind. I think that we become so overwhelmed with life and with reasons and purposes that we forget the soul's divine puropse, which is to live and experience. To love is to love ourselves first and foremost and then we can truly be giving and open. :) I like your comparing in this poem and I like that it says so much being short.
