DARK ALLEYS

DARK ALLEYS

A Poem by WILDERNESS
"

The inner side is sometimes darker than the outer side

"

DARK ALLEYS

Welcome to my dark alleys

Welcome to my other world

The dirt the debris and the slime

Left over by deeds of crime

Watch out the poor souls lying flayed

They are the people whom I betrayed

Shut your ears from the cries of pain

From those I hurt or left in disdain

Don’t touch the walls or the posts

Behind them lurk my inner ghosts

These doors are locked from inside

Secrets, I am ashamed to share, I hide

No light ever illuminates these pathways

Black smoke of my thoughts, blocks it always

Leave these alleys and make no judgement

It’s my shrine, my dark monument
