Remember?

Remember?

A Poem by F.Gentil
"

Read with the intent of going past your mind and into your soul.

"

I knew at this moment,

At this hour,

At this second,

Of this day,

I would find you here,

I wrote this with intentions of it getting to you,

No I’m not speaking just to write.

I am talking to you,

Don’t look around yourself,

I’m not there physically,

My spirit is in front of you.

You are reading my essence.

For I knew when I wrote this,

It would reach you,

And knowing it has …let’s talk,

Or let me talk whilst you listen,

I promise It won’t be some message you wouldn’t want to hear

For you and my spirit knew each other before,

I just wanted to get in contact with you.

Remember when we said,

“There will be a day, I will reach you”

You smiled as we parted ways...

You understood lifetimes ago,

What brought you here today?

To click and read, or print and read,

Was it boredom, or could it be that eternal clock ticking,

The one we both know is there.

Just through all the hoopla in this world

We forgot what was inside of us.

Who we were.

Where we came from.

Isn’t that the search of all who live here?

To figure out purpose and meaning.

What if it is just remembering?

Not advancement of any kind just rekindling our old flings,

With all the people in existence

The beast of the wild tricked us,

Because he forgot who he was too,

And here I am speaking to you in this moment,

Hoping that you remember some of the words I say.

My spirit reminds me to say key words,

Hopefully your soul connects:

Are you in pain?

 Are you weary?

Are you like me working all day and night?

Just for pennies, to scrap up and make it in this expensive life?

Do you remember our joy as kids?

The one who came knocking at your door,

Your best friend, you’ve lost being in touch…

I used to talk to you all the time,

Before the beliefs of this world took over,

They took you from me,

They made you forget me,

But I never forgot you.

Do you believe that I still love you?

Do you know that I love you and I don’t know who you physically are?

But I know you spiritually.

I don’t care if you’re a guy or girl,

The spirit doesn’t have a sex.

Read about angels they don’t have one either.

You use to love science, not the kind you were taught

But the kind you created,

The let’s make mud pies science which was our form of chemistry,

Let’s make up a game,

You created the rules our intellectual physics..

The players and success was our experiment and hypothesis…

Do you remember?

I haven’t forgot you my lost friend.

I haven’t forgot you at all.

When the walls collide,

And the beliefs of this world tell you that you are all alone,

I love you.

You’re my brother, or sister.

I am yours.

You mean the world to me,

Because my love has no boundary to who it touches.

A person asked me one day, How can you love everyone?

I replied. “Because I don’t love this world.”

My friend, my brother, my sister,

If you still have forgotten..

You are cared for and loved,

By a real person,

Who wrote this to reach you.

It’s a sign and it’s a confirmation.

It’s like 11:11.

Never forget again.

And if you do.

Just think, the spirit of God put it in this physical being's heart to tell you.

Because he knew that his message would get to you.

He doesn’t care who you are, your color, you faith,

Because when he made you, he created you perfectly,

The only imperfection is this world. .

For finding the truth, remembering him was our test.

I found my truth, my purpose,

It was to remind you.

wow i had chills the whole time reading this poem. you have a way of captivating and pulling at the heartstrings of the reader subtly with simplicity and authenticity. this poem speaks to the unconditional lover in me.. the constant repetition of do you remember holds an air of innocence as does the entire poem... i hope if it were to go that way for me and my love that we would meet someday somewhere somehow fatefully faithfully and she would remember love this line it gets me remembering my childhood
