Clarity quite obsurd🌹

‘Inside The Mind’

I’ve seen the demons
And felt them too-
What would you say
If
I told you they are the
Things inside of you-
Would you make a
Joke-
Hoping you would cope
With the reality of the
Mentality
That lies within
The minds of mankind-

They screech
And shout-
Bringing about
Doubt and fear-
Not allowing
Anyone to come
To near-

They confuse
And misuse your
Thoughts until you
Brought to your
Knees-
At the river they
Deceive
Allowing you to please
The lusts that are
Thrust
At your fleshly
Desires-
Until all will expires
And sanity requires
The looking within
To choose-
Will it win
Or
Lose-
Or you
Just abuse-

Oh what a
Muddle-
The mind’s
Like a puzzle-
The hearts
Working double-

What you give out
You receive back
Double-
Was it worth
All the trouble?

Humph. This about says it. I love the alliteration that carries this along through a muddled mess of thoughts. Exactly how the mind quickly jumps from one to the next, necessary or not and before you know it your a complete 180 from where you started. Nicely penned. I enjoyed it very much.
