Across the miles
Behind those
Hidden smiles-
Lies a heart
Broken and
Affected
With no love
Being
Detected-
Having built
A wall-
Afraid to fall-

The broken
Pieces
That would
Shatter
For that
Which once
Mattered-
Broken dreams
Weren't
As all
Seemed-

Bursting and
Broken-
Words left
Unspoken-
Choking and
Breathless-
Where will
This test
Rest-

Away from
The maddening
Crowd-
Thinking aloud-
With no words
Being spoken-
Is the token
Of loneliness
Its the world
We do not
Miss when
You're out
There
All alone-
Far from
Home-
Where does
Your soul
Roam-

Out of reach-
Its the
Lessons that
Do teach-
Of the ways
Of the heart-
Clear from the
Start-
But confused
With the
Things we
Choose-

Choices-
Those voices-
Taking us
To a place
Of no sound-
Clarity and
Confusion-
The two
Becoming a
Fusion-
Is this all
An illusion-

Simplicity and
Contentment-
Taking you
Back to where
It all begins-
In the confusion
Of sin-
We just
Won't win..

How perfectly it feels, Kelly,
As I'm swept down through such poignantly emotional scorings upon your pages, throughout my own senses' understandings' empathetic arousal, I feel You, along with a steadily growing impulse to whisper softly, "Keep thine heart open, fate and love have their ways of gathering life and romance together in such warmness only knowing mutual lovers can enjoy."
As you so well know, once ever held, the passionate sensations of romantic splendor shall ever ache to feel its yearned for, irresistibly-sating, embrace … it is in this way I, too, know so very well the unrequited yearnings your amazingly poetic voice has so eloquently, effortlessly smooth and entreatingly expressed in this piece, will give-way ⁓ as numbing mist to the undulating caresses of a warming wind.

Well, you've involved me in your moment so effectively to make me wax poetic, too … but, is this not what brilliant poetry does, makes the reader part of the writer.

Sometimes these feelings are not quiet so easy to understand and it takes us to places where fairytales and mystical adventures take place but I do believe within a yearning faithful heart there will be answers in due time- to be able to one day give all of those emotions that have been put on paper to a well deserving heart and soul can only be a dream come true.. blessings🌹
