Six Feet Under

Six Feet Under

A Poem by astoundinglyattractive
"

This is about how my mother emotionally abuses me...

"

She calls me

 lazy

and disgusting

 all the time.

 Almost daily. Tells me

it doesn’t matter

 what I think

nd that she doesn’t care. Told me

I must be stupid

With the way I act

And all.

She tells me that I should be more

Like my friend

Shes always

Sweet

Kind

Respectful

And always gets good grades

And that she has lots of friends

And that people like me

Tells me maybe

If I had more sense

Then blahblahblah

And ladida

And I really don’t give a damn what people think

All I really care about is

If shes loves me

Why oh why does she hate me?

just brush it off

is what they all say

belieev me, everything

will be okay

but how can they see

and understand

when they have only

been hurt by man

it is not possible

to even try to belei==ieve

that you are nto bad

if even your mother

cant stand you

how can you love yourself?

If not even

Youre own mother loves you

Then what's the point of living

Bet she will never realize

All that she has done

Bet she’ll never realize

She is a murderer.

She did kill me, after all.

Some parents are that way towards their children because they were belittled and shot down by their own parents. Most adults who have children end up passing on the abusive behaviors into their own relationships with their children as did their parents with them. It's not uncommon for this kind of thing to happen. She loves you! Somewhere deep down in the dark cold heart of hers (no offense...but by how you describe her....yeah...you get my meaning..) she truly does love you. Otherwise, she would not be taking care of you, putting a roof over your head, feeding you, and teaching you, that not everyone in life is going to love you. The world is full of mean people, and our worst enemies sometimes end up being our own parents, but it at least gives us a heads up on life in the later years. Keep your head high and just know, your mom isnt the only one who loves you! You have your friends (t)here for you! Love comes in many forms! And is shared in many different ways! Though I barely know you, i would be devistated if something happened to you! You are an amazing person with great writing skills and I would hate to see someone else take their life in their own hands when it is obvious they have a lot of talent that can be used in the future. You have a bright future ahead of you! It may not seem like it now, but maybe the sun just hasnt had a chance to rise yet. Eventually it will and the darkness will cease. I encourage you to keep going and write more poetry! Emotions are a good start with poetry. Because without emotions, how would we have poetry? We depend on emotions to write out poetry! It's like our lifeline xD XP Anyway, I really enjoyed this poem and I can easily relate because when my mom was still alive she used to do the same things to me. You are not the only one who is going through a tough time, in one way or another, we all have been through it. No life is ever complete without DRAMA and STRESS. So don't let one small thing ruin what could be an amazing rest of your life! Life is a precious thing, that is why we call it the present! :)

Don't listen to what she says, you wrote an amazing peice of poerty and she can never take that away from you! My parents are the same way always comparing me and telling me how worthless I am, sure it may get me down but believe me I use that as fuel! It makes me go faster, study harder, and smile more often just to prove to them that they can't bring me down! I may be an emotional wreck inside but I will never show them that! Don't give her the satisfaction! Look at it this way she has made you an amazing poet, your emotions are duel to your creativity!

All I am gonna say is this. You are none of those things, You are kind, funny, witty, and on hell of a person!, You have cheered me up often when I have felt like crap, and you are more special than you know. Your mom, doesn't understand you obviosly and thats sad. I know it hurts when she says all that stuff, but think about all the people that would hurt, that do give a damn about you! you may not think their are any, but their are probably more than you know. I have spoken to you a little bit and I believe it is safe to say, you would never want to hurt anybody intentionally. If you killed yourself you would do all that, its not worth doing it because your mom wants to be a brat. Just think about it.... You are my friend and hey, I care. Alright?

I feel the pain in the poem, no parents should do this to their kids, she IS wrong for doing it. You need to stand up and get your place to protest AGAINST her, well, thats what I will do if you were me. Also, suicide isn't a way to get things better and it wont make parents awake, cause they all just think its a joke >< Stand up against her and told her your protest! However, I think you need to figure out why she do it all time first, cause some of them just want to care about you and they use the wrong way, but the others mean it real. I hope this helps :)
This poem is really true and the emotion under can be feel, great work!

I feel the pain in your words. No parents should do that to their kids. Its completely wrong. But I do know I'm very lucky to be a child with loving parents. I do hope your mother will find it in her heart to know how much she's hurting you. But I will tell you now, suicide is not an option, especially for someone who has talent in poetry. Your writing is true to many, though it may not be true for me.
