Deeper Than The Sea

Deeper Than The Sea

A Poem by astoundinglyattractive

Deeper than the sea

i am

so dark

so dark and blue

forever lovely

for ever there

forever protecting

forever true

Deeper than the sea

i am

swallowed in despair

swallow all that may come near

set them free again

Deeper than the sea

i am

drifting for all of time

floating gently through my depths

floating never letting o

letting out the rain

Deeper than the sea

I am

and i fill it to the brim

cry my tears

through all the years

letting fall

the salty drops

crying from the pain

Deeper than the sea

i am

and even more

mysterious

a mystery that must be solved

come and enter my soul

Deeper than the sea

i am

deeper than the night

Higher than the tallest tree

than the strongest bird takes flight

Deeper deeper

forever on

never to be released

i watch over you

never forget

i am the blanket for your lonlieness

Like twinkling stars

like the shining moon and sun

clouds drifting,

drifting on,

across

my surface

which you can never breach

you will never discover the secrets of mine

for i am the almighty sky.

You're lines are always really short, and you have the same cadence usually. It's not really a bad thing, but you should maybe listen to some poetry out loud and then write to that verse. It'll spice your poems up a bit I think. Otherwise, great job. Your message is clear and concise.

The universe is indeed deeper than the sea... I love this poem, it is so thought provoking and the imagery is wonderful

Your wording and imagery are a pleasure to read. This is a really beautiful yet subtle poem. Its a stark contrast to the complexity of your featured poem I recently read and reviewed. However I like this one almost just as much. Your use of imagery in your poems is really thought provoking and beautiful. I loved reading this poem a lot. There is a lot within your wording and imagery to like. 'I am the blanket for your loneliness' is one of the most powerful and beautiful lines I've read on here. I also like the contrast between the short and longer lines. I don't know if its intentional or not but it gives me the visual feeling of waves. Coming and going. Which if intentional or not is a really apt visual device structurally to the overall poem, its title and meaning.

Its Really Strong and Powerful, I also think next time you can try to write another poem, I suggest you to expand it. Try out if its good or not, cause I think it'll be a good try if you do!
Anyways, I think its heart felt and you tear me when I read it! Wonderful Job!
