Hush Hush Lullaby

Hush Hush Lullaby

A Poem by FaithfullyJennyBear

Hush little poor girl,

Don't you cry,

The badman's gonna tell them

another lie...

If you tell them anything,

The badman's gonna break off

another wing...

Your angelic smile shall be no more,

The look in your eyes will get too sore,

When you go to sleep at night,

Make sure you turn off your light,

Lock the door and hide away,

If you want to see another day,

I know you really need to be heard,

But your words come out all blurred,

So hush little poor girl,

Don't you cry,

He'll hear you,

Please, don't say bye-bye

I wonder how many poor little girls have to hide away in their steel cocoons, wrapped up in the darkness, and I wonder why.........Sad poem

Truly, if it is random, then your a master of poetic prose, well done, a truly valiant piece.

The poem remind me of words/music at the end of a scary move. Requesting silence for the sake of safety. I like the flow and the emotion of this poem. A excellent poem. Thank you.

I enjoyed this! It gave the original nursery rhyme a dark, and cruel side.
Good job!
