Arisen

Arisen

A Poem by R.A. Youngblood

Tides will turn,
Our souls will be touched by the frost.
Kings will mourn,
Those who search and know will be lost.
Drowned from the ancient flood shall rise,
The goddess shall walk down the stairway of the moon.
Actions of the brave ones will pace in her eyes,
Weak ones shall be kings very soon.
With Her tears mercy will be shed,
The rich ones shall relinquish of the throne.
All Her thoughts won't left unsaid,
She, as the mighty goddess will be known.

Love your imagination here. You've created a beautiful painting for us. There's this very cool, calm and smooth, almost royal and dignified feel to the poem. My favourite line was, 'The goddess shall walk down the stairway of the moon.'. The feel lingers at the end, leaving us wondering what happens next. Loving the title. Shelving it. Xx.

Very cool poem, it made me think of Game of Thrones for some reason XD My only criticism is in the penultimate line, it's a bit of a stretch to say "all her thoughts won't left unsaid" - without 'be' in there, it is kind of an odd line, but I know you wanted to keep the flow and meter going, and I still get your meaning, so it's not a big deal. Nicely done, nice atmosphere.

a reflecting poem full of images and creates a curiosity in the reader. Apart from a couple of words that jar a little, and one that seems to be missing. This poem run through another draft has great potential.

Ah. Beautiful. A sense of foreboding mixed with a sense of hope and mercy and salvation. Well penned.

Quite a story in the short poetry. I like the artwork. Gave life to the words and thoughts. I did like the ending to the poem. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
