The night we left for Cougar Dam

The night we left for Cougar Dam

The Journey

"
The night we left for Cougar Dam

It was a stormy night in Texas
That was the night we left for Cougar Dam
It was storming hard and the rain was teeming down
We walked for miles as we understood

Things could get really bad
We knew the way to Cougar Dam on muddy rocks
We could lose a step of two
There were the four of us in our group and we

Could not afford to lose one
on our way to Cougar Dam the fun had just begun
The rains got heavier as we tracked our way
Along the tracks to Cougar Dam that was when we decided

To hold on to each others hands
As we reached underneath the waterfalls near Cougar Dam
We felt safe in each other hands
The rains got harder as we started to return from

Cougar Dam when we were holding on to each others hands
We almost fell over the cliff at the dam near Cougar path
After we arrived back from Cougar Dam.
The Texas storms can be mighty frightful the ones at Cougar Dam

We walked so far that day
To get back from El Paso, Texas
right there near Cougar Dam
Now we are safe and warm
At the pub and soaking up some suds.
