To Carry You

To Carry You

A Poem by Ian Lundin
"

Written and dedicated specifically to someone who's every word inspires me and who's every sentence fills me with wonder. Thank you, Drew. Dated: 01/09/06

"

This isn't something I'd expected
After so long, feeling neglected
But if my words can help you
Then I hope they always see you through
Through all of your darkest nights
Past the chill air of dawn's first light
In the dawn, when you awake
I hope you know, there can be no mistake
Remember that on any given day
Your every word takes my breath away
Understand that you inspire me
You cast new light on all I percieve
'Though I've never heard your voice, it sings
Beautiful and melodic, even if only in dreams
You are my inspiration and
If you feel about to buckle with frustration, then
Please think of me in your darkest hour
When you feel sapped of strength and drained of power
I hope that I can see you through
You'd do me such honour, just to carry you.

About
Writing is like a one way window. You open the blinds but you still can't see out, even though the whole world can see in. It's the ideas that I can't yet express that drive me forward. Someday I hope.. more..
