Bitting the dust

Bitting the dust

A Poem by Sane Betwixt

In your head, it’s all in your head.

Your brain contains all there is and

Ever was and it will vanish when you're dead!

Like castles made of sand.

We can observe the death of the universe

In the demise of any man, woman, or child,

And record the impact of the loss in verse.

Ensure that it is neatly filed

Away for the sake of posterity,

But the world those buried eyes beheld

Has ceased to exist, their eyes of eternity

Closed! And our own eyes welled

Up, with tears of ultimate self-pity!
