Could You Be The One?

Could You Be The One?

A Poem by Scarlett
"

This was a hope for a new guy in my life. It turned out the answer was 'no', but I still carry that hope.

"
Falling tears on a pale china face
Leaving dank, rusted tracks
The perfect complexion ruined by emotion
Rigid embroidery wasted on a fragile frame
The faultless façade I built to protect me
To hold onto, to shelter me from the cold
Is falling apart, crumbling to dust
Losing its colour, becoming transparent

Could you be the one to hold up the blinds
To cover up the window to my soul?
Will you be the one to hold up the roof
As the walls fall to rubble around me feet?
I’ve been broken down so many times
The tears are leaking from my eyes
I need someone to repair the damage
Will you be the one?
